Tournament GUIDE

To provide young people and volleyball enthusiasts with a pre-season opportunity to check their form and be better prepared for the first official games.

The competition will take place on September 12-14, 2025.
Competition venues:

  • Nord Sports Hall, Tervise 21, Tallinn
  • TalTech Sports Hall, Männiliiva 7, Tallinn
  • Õismäe Sports Games Hall, Õismäe tee 177, Tallinn
  • Sõle Sports Center, Sõle 40a, Tallinn

The competition is organized by Sports Club Nord (MTÜ Nord Sport).

Teams from social groups, sports schools, clubs, schools, and other collectives comprised of competitors born in 2017 or earlier may participate in the competition. All amateur volleyball players who do not participate in the Estonian Volleyball Federation (EVF) adult championships or any other country’s adult championships during the 2025/2026 season (i.e., in Estonia the Master League and Premier League; in other countries also second, third, etc. leagues) may participate.

Competition categories are separate for men and women, and for boys and girls. Women may play in men’s amateur teams, and girls may play in boys’ teams, but when they participate, no special gender-based rules apply – the official international volleyball competition rules are followed.

Age groups are defined as follows:

  • Amateurs – minimum age is determined by the birth year specified in the general participation criteria; no different age groups are formed for amateurs.
  • U20 – born in 2007 or later
  • U18 – born in 2009 or later
  • U16 – born in 2011 or later
  • U14 – born in 2013 or later
  • U12 – born in 2015 or later

NOTE! Each age group team may have a maximum of ONE player who is not more than one year older than the others, provided that this player does not participate in games and is not on the roster of any other team in this competition.

The exact competition system will be announced after pre-registration, based on ensuring that the workload is distributed as equally as possible and no one leaves after just one match.

The competition organizer cooperates with the Finnish Federation, and through this, the competition’s digital match protocols and the entire competition system logic will be maintained in the TorneoPal environment, which is successfully used by several other ball sports in Estonia and the Nordic countries.

The team registration fee of 170 EUR must be paid by the registration deadline based on the invoice sent by SPORDIKLUBI NORD/in the TorneoPal system.

The registration deadline for the competition is September 24, 2025.

Team name registration must be completed in the TorneoPal system no later than 7 days before the start of the competition. The competition organizers will provide assistance with guidance.

A team can have up to fourteen players and up to two coach-representatives. The minimum number of team members with 2 liberos is 8 (6+2). The minimum number of team members with 1 libero is 7 (6+1). If a team registers 13 or 14 players, there must be 2 liberos. The team must wear uniform competition attire (shirts, shorts), except for the libero, and all players must have unique numbers with no duplicates.

Games will be played according to current international indoor volleyball competition rules, in a 6 vs 6 format, except for U12, who play in a 4 vs 4 mini-volleyball format* (see appendix to the guidelines).

MIKASA V200W will be the competition balls, provided by the organizer.

All issues not specified in these guidelines will be resolved by the competition organizing committee.

Each team covers their own expenses related to arrival at the competition (travel, food, accommodation).

Withdrawal from the competition without a valid reason automatically means the last place, and the registration fee already paid will not be refunded to the team.

The organizing committee recruits and pays the referees. All referees have a license issued by the Estonian Volleyball Federation Referees Committee.

The winner of the competition will be awarded a cup, and the members and coach of the top 3 teams will receive medals and memorabilia.

MINI-VOLLEYBALL FORMAT

The playing field size is 14 x 6 m.

  • One full substitution (in-out) can be made during a set;
  • Players participating in the game can be substituted between sets, of which the coach informs the game referee/secretary;
  • The ball is put into play with an underhand serve; overhand serving is allowed.
