The International Children’s and Youth Volleyball Tournament Tallinn Nord Volleyball Cup follows the international FIVB game rules.

NOTE! If there are contradictions between FIVB rules and the Tallinn Nord Cup tournament regulations, the tournament guidelines prevail.

Live broadcasts may only be conducted by the official Nord Cup partner.

In the tournament, a maximum of 14 players may participate in one team in the boys’ and girls’ age groups, of which 2 may be one year older.

Players are not allowed to play in more than one age group at the Tallinn Nord Cup children’s and youth volleyball tournament. If this rule is violated, the player will be disqualified from the tournament and the game of the team that violated the rule will be canceled. The result in the tournament table will be marked as +/-.

Tallinn Nord Cup is divided into subgroups according to age.
In the group tournament, teams are divided into groups of three to six members to implement the best tournament system for the age group.

In group games, a win gives 2 points in the table, a loss 1 point, and a forfeit 0 points.
In case of equal points in the group, the final ranking is determined by:
*the winner of the head-to-head match between three or more teams
*the sum of points from head-to-head matches
*a draw

If a draw is needed to determine the ranking in the group, team representatives will be called to the secretariat at the tournament venue. The chief referee of the tournament or his authorized representative will conduct the draw to determine the final ranking. A coin will be used for the draw.

All positions in the tournament will be played out.

The organizer reserves the right to merge the Challenge and main group age groups depending on the number of participants.

Teams are guaranteed at least 4-5 games, depending on the number of teams in the age group.

Possible disagreements and protests will be resolved by a 3-member disciplinary committee, consisting of the chief referee of the tournament and two tournament organizers.

A protest is directed against the validity of a game result. The protest is based on the eligibility of a player’s participation, significant violation of rules by a referee, or any other incident that affected the game result. A protest that is not recorded in the protocol will not be considered.

The protest must be submitted in writing by the team representative (the person designated as the representative on the registration sheet) no later than 30 minutes after the end of the game. The protest must be submitted to the tournament secretariat.

All protests submitted against rule violations must be coordinated with the match referee before they leave the court.

A general protest against the entire opposing team is not accepted. Protests cannot be submitted against factual decisions made by the referee.

The protest processing fee is 75 EUR.
The amount will be refunded if the protest is satisfied. The final decision made by the Disciplinary Committee cannot be appealed.

All referees are recognized by the Estonian Volleyball Federation or by the chief referee of the tournament.

Teams that finish in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded with cups and medals.

The organizer of the Tallinn Nord Volleyball Cup tournament does not take responsibility for health and sports injuries occurring during the volleyball tournament. First aid is ensured at each competition venue.

A player removed from the playing field is disqualified for one subsequent game in the Tallinn Nord Cup tournament.

The referee must submit a corresponding written statement to the chief referee of the tournament, who makes the final decision.

The decision made by the chief referee of the tournament is final and cannot be appealed!

The decision will be communicated to the team representative who is marked in the corresponding field on the registration sheet.

In the case of racism, violence, and bullying, the organizer has the right to remove the team or its representative/player from the tournament or impose another penalty.

A participant in the Tallinn Nord Volleyball Cup tournament confirms that the participating team is aware of all laws and rules established by the Tallinn Nord Volleyball Cup tournament.

Registration:
The team representative is obliged to submit a completed registration sheet to the tournament secretariat. If necessary, the team representative is obliged to submit identification documents of all their team players to the tournament secretariat along with the registration sheet.

Suitable documents are either a passport, ID card, or student card.

Players who are not listed on the registration sheet may not participate in the tournament. Also, players whose identification document has not been submitted to the tournament office either manually or by email may not participate in the tournament.

Each team representative is obliged to sign the registration sheet.

When registering a team at the tournament secretariat, each team will be given an envelope. This contains wristbands, tournament rules, schedules, and bus schedules if necessary.

NOTE! Teams that have not correctly fulfilled the previous requirements will not be allowed to play in the tournament!

The team is required to be at the court where their game starts at least 15 minutes before the start of their game.

The team must be able to present a document proving the correct age of their players to the court referee during the tournament game (10 minutes before the start of the game and 10 minutes after the end of the game).

The tournament disciplinary committee has the right to make changes to game venues and times if it is deemed necessary and if an unavoidable event requires it!

NOTE! Tournament organizers are not responsible for thefts occurring during the tournament!

If the tournament cannot be held or the tournament is postponed due to events beyond the control of the organizers (as a result of force majeure) or due to events not related to intentional or gross negligence by the tournament organizers, then the tournament organizers cannot be held responsible for damages or other costs incurred to delegations (transportation costs, accommodation costs, costs for additional orders, financial costs, etc.).

Under these circumstances, the tournament organizers reserve the right to either retain all payments made for registration and accommodation and use them to cover the cost of a future tournament or reimburse delegations after deducting costs incurred in organizing the tournament and which cannot be recovered from third parties. Tallinn Nord Cup is in no way responsible for injuries or financial damage caused by war, war-like situations, civil unrest or intervention by authorities, strikes, lockouts, blockades, or similar incidents.

The Tallinn Nord Volleyball Cup team fee with accommodation package is 170 EUR/team (to which the accommodation package price per participant is added, according to the chosen accommodation).

The Tallinn Nord Volleyball Cup team fee without accommodation package (for teams coming from outside Harju County) is 170 EUR/team, to which a participation fee of 50 EUR/participant is added (does not include meals).

Payment of the Tallinn Nord Cup team fee takes place after team registration according to the issued invoice and the dates indicated on it.

Payment of the team fee guarantees the team’s participation in the tournament and is non-refundable.

The payment deadline for accommodation packages and participation fees is 24.08.2025.

If team registration is canceled, the participation fee/accommodation fee will be refunded if the Tallinn Nord Cup organizers have been notified by 01.08.2025 at the latest.

Payment of team participation fee and accommodation packages is made to the MTÜ Spordiklubi Nord bank account.
